Giant Freshwater Prawn

Our Giant Freshwater Prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) grow in the clean open waters of the lakes and reservoirs of Sri Lanka. Organic and free range, they feed on the natural abundant food there. Divron breeds the prawns to produce young post-larvae that are stocked in the lakes and reservoirs. When they have reached market size they are selectively wild caught by artisanal fishers.
